Switzerland conquers outer space

Bern – A number of Swiss companies have contributed to today’s planned landing of the Philae lander spacecraft on the surface of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.



The Philae lander was released into space by the Rosetta spacecraft and will attempt to study the composition and structure of the comet nucleus material, explains a press release from the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.
