For a sixth year in a row the Top 10 cleantech cluster companies were honored at the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) Later Stage Awards Gala. The GCCA's Global Top 10 Winners represent the best of the Association's 50 member clusters and over 10,000 member companies. The GCCA Global Top 10 Winners were selected based on the KeyStone Compact™ assessment. This year's 6th GCCA Awards were presented on December 13th in Little Rock, Arkansas, U.S. in conjunction with the Global Cleantech Summit 2016 and Reunion of Club de Madrid and P80 Group.
"Scaling up the commercial deployment of proven technologies may be the most effective way to achieve sustainability goals. It's about connecting globally to develop locally on technology, finance, management skills. This is why we collaborate with the GCCA," says Dr Alfred Watkins, chairman of the Global Solution Summit.
Every year the GCCA member clusters choose their best companies to be nominated for the Later Stage Awards. This year there were over 100 nominees and that number was later narrowed to the Top 10 Winners. The Global Top 30 were selected using the KeyStone Compact™, an algorithmic business model investment risk rating suite of tools developed by GCCA co-founder Dr. Peter Adriaens, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the Ross School of Business, and CEO of Corymbus Asset Management, an investment advisory and quant fund design firm. He is co-author of ’Financial Technology for Industrial Renewal’, a thematic blended investment strategy to mobilize large capital allocations in sustainable development.
"We are particularly proud to announce Azuri Technologies as the GCCA Grand Prize Winner 2016 together with the Founder of the nominating cluster Martin Garratt from Cambridge Cleantech, UK," said Christian Haeuselmann, Chairman of the GCCA and Cluster Manager for swisscleantech.
