The Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) has named the Global Top 10 Winners for its 7th GCCA Later Stage Awards 2017, hosted in conjunction with the Cleantech Venture Day in London/UK on October 31st. The mid- to late-stage companies originate from the major cleantech industries, including solar, energy storage and clean web to lighting, energy efficiency, mobility, urban agriculture and water. The Top 10 Winners were sorted from nominees from the world’s leading GCCA cleantech clusters and its 10,000 member companies. Each nominee was then assessed by the KeyStone Compact™ business risk rating methodology. Iteros from San Diego, California was awarded with the GCCA Award 2017 Grand Prize, Top 2 Winner was HUB Controls from Dublin, Ireland, and Top 3 Winner was Origami Energy from Cambridge, UK.
The GCCA Later Stage Award 2017 Top 10 Winners and the nominating GCCA clusters include: Iteros/San Diego California, HUB Controls/Ireland, Origami Energy/Cambridge UK, Banyan Nation/India, BestMile/Switzerland, EcoRobotics/Switzerland, Smappee/Flanders, Sulapac/Finland, Visedo/Finland, Wattwatchers/Australia.
Enabling large scale commercial deployment of proven sustainable technologies is a key focus of GCCA since 2010. “We believe that these companies will be in the forefront developing solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
